We all have made mistakes and bad choices. Regret is something else, isn’t it? The good news is that you don’t have to stay all the way back there. The past is behind and you can move forward.

The past can be haunting and it can hold you back if allowed. Holding on to past regrets and wallowing in the shoulda, woulda, couldas can keep you stuck. You can’t change the past. You can’t go back and undue what is already done. It could be a dream that fell to the wayside or a damaged friendship that never got repaired. Whatever the regrets are they are keeping you stuck and hindering your progress. They are causing you to sink further and further into the mental lake of the past. If you keep this mindset you are not allowing yourself to be present for today.
The good news is that your past does not define you. Through Christ you can be made a new woman. He can help you let go of that past hurt so you can move on to a better brighter future. The past regrets and mistakes can make you stronger and better. Use them as wisdom to carry with you for the rest of your life. You can now say been there, done that. learned from it, and now better from it!
Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
